STUDENTS WANTED TO BUILD & ACHIEVE

Build AI. Fly Drones. Solve Real Problems.

Join a student-created and student-run technology community where ambitious high-school students use coding, artificial intelligence and drone technology to build solutions that matter.

Take those solutions beyond the workshop—test them in the real world, develop them to competition level, pursue recognition and awards, and build a technical track record that shows what you can actually accomplish.

A COMMUNITY YOU CAN SEE

Find Your Team. Build to Compete.

These are real moments from students exploring drone technology together. AIdrones.partners helps high-school students find partners who share their interests, form project teams and work toward goals they choose together.

CREATED BY STUDENTS. RUN BY STUDENTS.

A Student-Led Technology Community Built for Collaboration

AIdrones.partners is an independent technology community created by high-school students and run by students. Its purpose is to help students find other students who share their interests and passion, then collaborate in small project teams around goals they genuinely want to achieve together.

A student interested in computer vision might connect with another who enjoys drones, electronics, software or autonomous systems. Each project team forms around a shared idea or problem, combines complementary strengths, defines a common goal, and works together to turn that goal into a real result.

Our current members attend Granite Bay High School and Oakmont High School, and students may join regardless of where they attend school or where they live. There is no membership fee. AIdrones.partners is free to join.

A CORE GOAL

Build Projects Capable of Winning Recognition

Our goal is not simply to learn AI or build another school project. We want to develop our strongest AI-powered drone solutions to the level where they can compete seriously for finalist recognition, honors and awards.

Conrad Challenge

An innovation competition in which student teams develop solutions to real-world problems. Its Aerospace & Aviation and technology-oriented categories make it a natural target for ambitious AI-powered drone systems.

Explore Conrad Challenge →

Diamond Challenge

A global high-school entrepreneurship competition where teams turn ideas into business or social venture concepts and pitch them through multiple rounds. Strong fit for a drone solution with a clear customer or social-impact case.

Regeneron ISEF Pathway

The research and engineering pathway: students conduct rigorous work, generate measurable evidence and qualify through an ISEF-affiliated science fair. Strong fit when a drone project is driven by an original research or engineering question.

Blue Ocean Competition

A global virtual entrepreneurship competition for high-school students built around innovative business ideas and video pitches. Strong fit for turning a technically credible drone solution into a differentiated venture concept.

Our ambition is not simply to enter competitions.
It is to build projects worthy of competing seriously for recognition, honors and awards. Awards are never guaranteed; the standard of work we pursue is the part we control.
THE PATH

Learn → Build → Test → Compete → Achieve

LEARNAI, computer vision, coding, autonomy, sensors and drone systems.
BUILDTurn a meaningful problem into an integrated working solution.
TESTCollect data, measure performance, find weaknesses and improve.
COMPETEPrepare strong projects for serious science, innovation and entrepreneurship competitions.
ACHIEVEPursue external recognition while building a substantial record of technical accomplishment.
WHAT SUCCESS CAN LOOK LIKE

Build a Track Record, Not Just a List of Activities

The objective is substantial work that can be demonstrated, explained and evaluated—not simply another activity to list.

Don't just tell people you're passionate about AI and technology. Build the evidence.

MAKE IT REAL

What Could One Year Look Like?

Months 1–2

Select a real-world problem. Research users and constraints. Define measurable technical requirements.

Months 2–4

Build the first prototype and establish an end-to-end architecture across software, AI, sensors and flight systems.

Months 4–8

Integrate intelligence and autonomy, field-test the system, collect data and improve performance through repeated experiments.

Months 8–12

Strengthen evidence, documentation and presentation; prepare the strongest work for appropriate competitions and demonstrations.

WHAT OUR PROJECT TEAMS EXPLORE

From Real Problems to Measurable Results

Our project framework connects four areas: real-world use cases, solution architecture, technology research and system implementation. Teams can work toward demonstrations, pilot trials, research reports, business plans and competition submissions.

POSSIBLE MISSION

Example: AI-Powered Safety Inspection

Develop a small autonomous drone that follows a repeatable inspection route, collects imagery and uses computer vision to identify predefined hazards or anomalies. Measure navigation repeatability, detection performance and system reliability—then turn the results into a rigorous demonstration and, where appropriate, a competition entry.

REAL PROBLEM → INNOVATIVE IDEA → WORKING SOLUTION → MEASURABLE RESULTS → COMPETITION → RECOGNITION
SEE WHAT WE WANT TO BUILD
STUDENT-LED. INDUSTRY-ADVISED.

Students Lead. Industry Technologists Advise.

Students choose the problems they care about, find collaborators, form project teams, define their common goals and do the work of building, testing and improving their solutions.

Experienced technologists from industry provide technical guidance and mentorship when project teams need it. Advisors can help teams think through difficult engineering questions, understand relevant technologies and learn from real-world technical experience—while the ideas, decisions, teamwork and accomplishments remain driven by the students.

Student ownership stays at the center. Advisors support the learning and problem-solving process; they do not take over the projects.
EXPLORE BY INTEREST

Projects and Opportunities for High-School STEM Students

Looking for a serious AI project, coding project, drone project, STEM competition or a way to build a stronger technical portfolio? Start with the path that matches your interest.

SHARED INTERESTS. SHARED GOALS.

Find Collaborators. Form a Team. Build Something Together.

Connect by Interest

Meet students who are excited by the same technologies, problems or ideas—even if they attend a different school.

Form a Project Team

Bring together complementary strengths. Different students can contribute AI, coding, computer vision, electronics, drones, research, testing or communication.

Work Toward a Common Goal

Each team defines what it wants to accomplish, shares responsibility and works toward a result the members can achieve together.

This is not a class with a predetermined assignment. The community provides a place for motivated students to find one another, create their own project teams and pursue goals driven by their own interests and passion.

PARTNERS WANTED

Interested in Building Something Ambitious?

We are growing a student-led community of high-school students who are curious, motivated and excited to create something difficult together in small project teams. You do not need to know every technology—bring one strength or a genuine interest and grow with the community.

Learn enough to build. Build well enough to compete. Compete seriously enough to achieve.
